After having a wonderful dinner on Friday evening with some members that arrived in Thumperville early, it was home to bed, to get a good nights sleep before the big "bean" day on Saturday.

Jack and I meandered out of town Saturday morning about 8:00 a.m., under cloudy skies, no wind, and 44* temps. Not a bad morning for Kansas in February. Riding county roads north towards Marquette, we passed several hints of snow drifts in the ditches, faint reminders of the 19" of snow we had received just 11 days earlier. It was a beautiful ride, but aren't they all? Arriving in Marquette around 8:45, we were ready for the bikes to start arriving, and they did, shortly after we had a light breakfast.

By the time we ate at 1:00 p.m., there were around 25 Thumpers parked on this little Main Street in rural Kansas. If you've never seen this museum, it is a must see if you're ever in the area.

By the time everyone ate their beans today, I’m pretty sure we’re in a tie with Kansas Gas for gas production today.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Olancha, California in June. Ride safe, and thanks to those who made this a great day!!
